The Clinton Essex Franklin Library System (CEFLS) based in Plattsburgh, NY, is seeking a full-time Librarian II. The three county library system, consisting of 30 libraries, 3 reading centers and a bookmobile, serves a population of approx. 160, 000 in the beautiful Adirondack Mountains region. The deadline for application is March 15, 2008. This is a classified position, subject to Civil Service examination. Applicant must be available to travel to CEFLS member libraries or other locations as necessary. Minimum qualifications: Possession of an ALA accredited MLS degree and two years professional experience, preferably in children’s and youth services. Must have the New York State Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate.
Successful candidate must have strong commitment to public service, literacy and reading.
